The RISE Living Library was initially launched to shed light on domestic abuse. The RISE Living Library gives a 360 degree perspective on domestic abuse, how it affects people, and the help available in Brighton & Hove.

This year’s books include domestic abuse survivors speaking about both physical and emotional abuse, a police officer, social workers and RISE staff members talking about the process of supporting people from crisis to recovery.

The RISE Living Library is a White Ribbon Event, part of a global campaign asking for pledges to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence and abuse.
