Our annual fundraising event to raise money to support local people affected by domestic abuse
The 8K Undercliff Run for Women is a scenic run along the seashore, alongside Sussex’s famous chalk cliffs, from Saltdean towards Brighton and back. The run is RISE's signature, annual fundraising event raising money to help survivors of domestic abuse in Brighton & Hove and West Sussex. Donations and sponsorship will be used to help local families affected by domestic abuse.
To help celebrate RISE's 20th Anniversary we ask that each entrant commits to raising at least £20! You can pay this with a special entry fee, you can make a donation through your entry, or you can raise sponsorship.
We thank you! If you manage to raise over £150 we will send you a free RISE technical running vest after the event.

This year we want to encourage 'dressing up'. 2014 is our 20th Birthday and we are creating a party atmosphere - so get together with your friends and choose your costume!
4 x 2K Relay
If 8K seems a few steps too far why not form a relay team? Gather 3 friends and run 2K each. You will have a shiny baton to pass – it might even be the first rung on your running ladder. Each finisher gets a great goody bag (contents donated by L’Oreal), big shiny medal, banana, and water.
Free Run Training with Jo’s Thing!
Whether you want to run 8K by yourself or 2K as part of a relay team, Jo’s Thing will not only train you so that you’re ready and confident but you’ll be amongst like-minded women having a ball!
Starting from 4th September Jo’s Thing are offering registered runners free training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9.30am. Sessions are open to all levels of runners. There are three running coaches at each session so you’ll always get a good workout and be paced appropriately.
Total Beginners – Thursdays 10.30am Preston Park
If you are a new runner, Jo’s Thing have sessions especially for you, covering the basics of breathing, running technique, posture etc. It’s likely you will graduate to the 9.30 group after just a few sessions!
Register for the RISE 8K and a booking form will be sent with your confirmation email.
Brooks Brighton 10K
The Brooks Brighton 10K takes place on Sunday 16th November 2014. RISE has limited spaces available for this race. Please contact our fundraising team for more information.
