Yoga classes offered to RISE service users

Om Retreats are hosting a regular evening yoga class in partnership with RISE, at the lovely Cocoon studio in central Brighton.

Date: Mondays, 6.30-7.30pm, starting May 8th 2017

Venue: Cocoon Healing Arts Centre, 20-22 Gloucester Place, Brighton, BN1 4AA

The class is specifically for women affected by domestic abuse, who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or recovering from trauma.

It will be taught by Hannah Lee Weller - an experienced yoga practitioner who has run several yoga workshops for RISE. The class will include breath work, meditation, gentle yoga postures, and deep relaxation. These techniques can all help with reducing anxiety, depression and fatigue and promoting a sense of peaceful wellbeing. Yoga is a natural way to help lift the mood, calm the mind, and improve mobility in the body. It will be a mindful and restorative class, taking into account everybody’s abilities and limitations.

Om Retreats are a non-profit organisation, and this class is free of charge. The course will run for 10 weeks and we can accommodate 9 people. To book onto this retreat please contact Meggan Watson at RISE on 01273622828 * 204 or using the form below.

Earlier this year Om Retreats ran a one-day yoga workshop for a number of our clients, and feedback included:

“Thank you so much for the yoga workshop on Saturday - I really enjoyed it and took a lot of new ideas from it. I'm also really in love with the approach that you take at Om, using paid work to fund these kinds of days: thank you.”

“Thanks so much for this beautiful retreat, it came at such a lovely time where I was open for the experience.”
