Peer Support Group Volunteer

We are recruiting a volunteer to help run the weekly Peer Support Group for women who are dealing with the impact of domestic abuse.

The Peer Support Group Volunteer will share this role with another volunteer each week, where one week the volunteer will be facilitating the peer support group with another member of staff and the following week the volunteer will be completing assessments into the peer support group and peer support group reviews with clients over the phone or face to face at a RISE building.

Ideally we are looking for someone who could commit to a minimum of 5 hours to a whole day a week, but can be flexible depending on availability.

This post is open to female applicants only as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act

RISE welcomes volunteers who are themselves survivors of domestic abuse. However, because of the nature of this role and the potential for re-traumatisation, it is not appropriate for survivors who have experienced domestic abuse within the past two years.

Application deadline for this role is Wednesday 10th May

Interviews will be held during week commencing Monday 15th May
