Hot on the heels of a 50 mile bike ride and an 18 mile walk, the Mayor, Councillor Pete West, rounded off his challenge by cycling back from Paris... on a tandem!

The Brighton2Paris Charity Cycle Ride 2017 was sponsored by Oakley Property and The Hyde Group in aid of the 27 Mayor's Charities and the ABF Soldiers' Charity.

Brighton & Hove Property Consortium are made up of local property professionals who have created an annual cycling event to raise funds for locally based charities.

On Thursday 4th May 2017 they set off from Brighton to head to Paris for the start of their epic four-day cycle back to Brighton via Versailels, Evreaux, Liseux, Ouistreham and Dieppe. They arrived on New Road in Brighton around 5pm on Monday 8th May, saddle-sore but satisfied with their incredible achievement.

The ride was the finale of Mayor Pete West’s Triple Challenge ‘BIKE-HIKE-TANDEM 230 miles’, and it was an honour to welcome him across the finish line after an afternoon of live music and entertainment.
