We need your consent!
The data protection laws are changing – which means we need your explicit consent to receive any communication from us.
If you’ve given RISE a donation, or run a marathon for RISE, this makes you a kind and generous supporter… but we can’t assume this means you are happy to hear from us – we need your permission.
To opt in to hearing from us, please fill in the form at the bottom of this page.
This new law is good news for consumers – to stop them getting bombarded with emails they didn’t sign up for. And it means charities like us can only email people who have told us it’s OK for us to do so… which is good, because we don’t want to annoy anyone!
Over the next few weeks we’ll be running a huge opt-in campaign to make sure that everyone who is already on our mailing list is happy to continue to hear from us. If you don’t opt in, we will have to take your name off and stop sending you our enewsletter. Please keep your eyes peeled for these emails – we don’t want to lose anyone who enjoys receiving our updates!
If at any time you want to unsubscribe, you can do so by clicking the link at the bottom of each email.
The legal bit
If you choose to join our mailing list, the email address that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services and also stored within the RISE internal database.
Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters or by getting in touch and requesting removal via email.
While your email address remains within the MailChimp database, you will receive newsletters from us every 6 weeks as well as updates about RISE activities and events, news, job and volunteer opportunities. We will not contact you for any other reason.
If you have any questions please contact our Data Protection Officer on email@example.com.
