Head along to The Hope and Ruin on Queens Road on March 20th for a night of incredible music, headlined by BE N!CE purely in support of RISE!
Down the Lanes say, "RISE UK is a Brighton based charity that supports people who have been affected by domestic abuse. The work they do is absolutely crucial and it is our pleasure to be able to support them. And what better way to support than a high octane night of aggressive, cathartic, punk music by 4 sensational bands?"
BE N!CE Facebook, Instagram are a seriously silly London-based band colliding harsh flavours of punk with post-punk, hardcore, grunge & alternative metal influences. Also joining the line up are Leibniz, Florescent and Bella Artois.
Leibniz Website, Facebook, Instagram are a grungecore/queercore trio from Brighton, UK. They draw sounds from grunge, hardcore and shoegaze, delivering it with an intense and cathartic energy in the name of trans liberation and relief from emotional turmoil.
Florescent Facebook, Instagram are a Brighton based band that blend indie twists with punk fusions, catchy distinctive lyrics alongside rhythmic uplifting guitar melodies; Punchy-floating bass-lines with clean-vibrant tones accompanied by punk inspired drum grooves.
Bella Artois Facebook, Instagram is a London based queer musician who’s influences, spanning from punk to pop to jazz, blend to create a unique combination of chaos and tranquillity in their music and live shows
Luke Dorman of Down the Lanes events explained why this event is supporting RISE:
"I have been incredibly moved by the current movement of female, trans and non-binary punk artists around at the moment. I noticed that so often the main link between these bands was their frustration at a society filled with abuse and inequality. It then became clear that I could bring together some fantastic artists and do a little bit to address these issues. RISE are a fantastic charity and the fact that they are close to home meant there was no other choice in my mind."
This event is going to be the perfect mix of great music and a great cause - see you there? Get your tickets here.
