Older and Disabled Women's Drop-in

We host a free, weekly, one-to-one drop-in for women experiencing domestic abuse at Hove Library. No appointment is needed.

This drop-in is for any woman experiencing domestic abuse who is also:
- living with a long-term health condition
- living with an impairment
- neurodivergent
and/or
- women aged 55+

We can also talk with you if you are a friend or family member concerned about someone who meets one of these criteria and want to get some advice about how to provide support.

The drop-in is a safe space to talk through your concerns, get free advice or find out more about your options. No need to book an appointment. Simply turn up and follow the signs, or ask any member of staff for RISE.

Hourglass

Every First Monday of the month 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, the drop-ins will also be supported by Hourglass. The Hourglass mission is simple: end the harm, abuse and exploitation of older people in the UK. This means that on the first Monday of the month, our weekly drop-ins will be able to support older women facing any type of abuse. The drop-in remains open for women who are neurodivergent, or living with a long-term health condition or impairment and concerned friends/family members.

More information on Hourglass can be found here.
