- 27th November: Free, online training on Recognising and Responding to Economic Abuse. As part of the Compass Project, RISE invites you to attend this free training with Surviving Economic Abuse and Money Advice Plus. The training will cover what is economic abuse, and recent changes in legislation, policing, money and debt and financial services sector that aim to support victim-survivors of domestic abuse gain economic justice and economic safety. Communities Rising’s aim is to mobilise the voices, skills, actions and networks of women survivors and others in our communities in order to galvanise positive change around the issue of violence against women and girls. The National Lottery Fund has allowed RISE to bring it to life and we are thrilled to launch our Year Two report on progress and impact.

- 6th December: RISE Communities Rising celebratory event - invite only, for all RISE Connectors, Researchers and supporting volunteers between 2017-present day. We will be celebrating the work of those with living experience of domestic abuse who in ‘small ways make big changes’ in their everyday lives. There will be storytelling and ‘craftivism’ activities, plus the launch of our Changemaker programme offering paid opportunities to those who have been actively involved in the Connect programme (as either a Community Researcher or Connector). We will also launch a co-produced a ‘Stay Involved’ workbook to support the transition into a paid activist role at RISE.

- 8th December - 10th December: RISE Communities Rising Exhibition. Head along to the Jubilee Library between the 8th and 10th of December to see an exhibition of community stories, created as part of our Communities Rising work. Find the exhibition on the Ground Floor, in the Main Room
