What is the Schools Shield?
The RISE Schools Shield is an 8K run for female students, part of our iconic, annual 8K Run for Women. It premiered in 2022 and is an opportunity for all schools in Brighton and Hove to get involved in our run. Past winning reams have been Roedean School and Brighton College.
Globally, nearly one in four individuals who have been in a relationship have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner.
Involvement provides a chance to talk about this issue in schools and gives girls an empowering opportunity to really do something about it. Every year the run raises around £25k for the vital work RISE does supporting those affected by domestic abuse in our area.
The entry price is discounted for teams, and each runner will receive their own 8K Run for Women finishers medal!
