The 18th annual RISE Undercliff Run for Women took place on Sunday 12th October under clear blue skies. After a lively warm up from our friend Zuzana, a record breaking 400 women and girls laced up their running shoes and took part.
These incredible women and girls have raised a HUGE total of £36,354 to support RISE so far - and we know there are a few more donations to come.
Congratulations to ALL our finishers – here are some headlines!
- For the third year in a row, the fastest time was recorded by RISE supporter Claire Page - her astonishing time of 00:30:19 was an incredible 3 minutes in front of the 2nd place runner!
- The Schools Shield was won by Oxford International College, swiping the title from last year’s winners Brighton College. We’re sure they have enjoyed their prize of 18 Pizza Vouchers, donated by Fatto A Mano.
- This year’s fastest team were the Pound Hill Pounders for fastest team, who came in just ahead of Ruth-Anne’s team. They also brought the biggest number of participants with them – thanks team!
- Claire, Sibel Recber and Lynsey came First, Second and Third.
- Beverly and Jessie won best fancy dress
- Angelica won the prize for final finisher
- Our Golden Ticket winners – we hope you had fun with those prizes!
The RISE 8K Run for Women is a true community celebration and we want to thank everyone who made this spectacular event possible.
