Now resident in Brighton, lesbian comedian Zoe Lyons was born in Wales and has also lived in Ireland and Scotland. A trained actor, she turned to comedy in 2003, and won the Funny Women Awards in 2004. Since then, she has toured extensively, both here in the UK and internationally, and can been seen and heard on UK television, radio and podcasts regularly.
There’s a (huge!) list of Zoe’s appearances here.
If you like podcasts, listen out for her on 'Mid-Point' with Gaby Logan, 'Beyond The Bathroom' with Sali Hughes, and the 'Guilty Feminist'.

On the radio, Zoe can often be heard on BBC Radio 4 comedies Just A Minute, The Now Show and The News Quiz.
Known for her sharp and observational sense of humour, Zoe’s comedic style is characterised by a playful, clever wit, quick thinking, and a good-natured and sometimes self-deprecating tone. Zoe has a keen ability to find humour in everyday situations. She has the knack of highlighting the absurdities of life and poking fun at societal norms, while feeling relatable and down-to-earth. Her humour is often inclusive and appeals to a broad audience.
Her performances often involve a blend of storytelling, social commentary, and clever punchlines that resonate with audiences who appreciate smart and insightful humour.
Zoe’s has experienced alopecia periodically since the age of 11 and is now an ambassador for Alopecia UK. She fronted an episode of Channel 5’s Women’s Health focusing on the issue in August 2022, and in 2023, her 40 date tour, Bald Ambition, covered her ‘midlife crisis’ which involved a brief split from her wife, hair loss and a brand new sports car.
It seems fitting that a Brightonian would love the water and Zoe is a keen scuba diver, wild swimmer and paddle boarder. She lives in Brighton with her wife Sindy and their canine pal Groucho Barks.
At the time of writing Zoe has no upcoming gigs listed on her website – we’re looking forward to seeing her next listings appear.
