Corporate partnerships matter in so many ways – not only do they provide either financial or non financial support (cash or donations of time or items) but they also demonstrate to the people in those business, and who engage with them, that that business stands against abuse and violence. Partnerships like these are a vital way of spreading the message that domestic abuse is not acceptable and will not be accepted by our community.

Here, we’re excited to introduce you to Donna May Clitheroe, Founder of Donna May London. Donna May London supported our RISE 8K Undercliff Run for Women last year with a donation of gorgeous Zip It Makeup Bags, cheerful and useful treats for our runners to find inside their goody bags.

We had a chat with Donna, who told us about why she and her business support RISE.

“I'm Donna May Clitheroe, and I am the Founder of Donna May London. I live in Hove with my husband Dan and 2 sons, Oscar and Will.

DML is a Makeup & lifestyle accessories brand...we class ourselves as selling beautiful luxury products but at NON-luxury prices! I want everyone to be able to afford to have some 'luxury'.

We wanted to support a local charity that is aligned with DML. It needed to be a women supporting women charity. When we can, we gift RISE our end-of-line products that are suitable for women who may have found themselves in a situation without any belongings. We all know what it's like when you lose your own makeup bag let alone all, the other little luxuries – and even necessities – that we have gained along the way.

Donna May London is supporting a charity for women who have been mistreated. We hope it reflects our deep commitment to empowerment, resilience, and positive change. Supporting such a charity matches our values of fairness and justice for all, whatever your circumstances are.

We were pleased to be able to support the RISE 8K last year - unfortunately I won't be running it myself ...my knees are damaged from too much training when I was younger! But I'll be cheering you on form the side lines!! And before then, we will be celebrating IWD on our social platforms and of course letting everyone know about RISE!”
