RISE, a Brighton based, violence against women and girls charity, is inviting applications to join the Board of Trustees.
Are you a feminist leader with experience in any of these sectors: public sector; private sector; youth/student societies or organisations; commercial or charitable organisations? We also welcome interest from those with direct experience of domestic violence and/or abuse. The Board is currently looking for more expertise in HR, finance and property development/management - but lack of these areas of expertise should not deter applicants qualified in other ways or committed to our cause.
Our Board members come from all walks of life and bring a passion for ending violence and abuse against women, children, and LGBT people. We are keen to ensure greater diversity on our Board and welcome applications from a wide range of women who would help us better reflect and serve our potential and current service users.
Trustee roles are open to women only*. They are voluntary with paid expenses. You are eligible to apply if you are over the age of 18.
*This post is open to female applicants only as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010
To request an application pack contact [email protected]. We are recruiting trustees on a rolling basis, so there is no fixed deadline - applications will be reviewed as they come in.
We look forward to hearing from you.
