Silver Sounds and Barulho will bring the beats to the Brighton Undercliff path on Sunday the 13th October. Their infectious drumming will spur on our runners and entertain the crowds of supporters too.
Silver Sounds Senior Samba Band is a community band for older people who believe that age is no barrier to having fun! They have been making music for 23 years and aim to bring a touch of Carnival to any occasion. They’re no strangers to running events – previous performances have taken place at festivals, marathons – including the Brighton Half and full Marathon in 2024 - races, schools, care homes, and private functions. They will be at our start/finish line seeing our runners off and welcoming them back.
Barulho is a Brighton based community samba band which has been active for nearly 25 years. They turn traditional samba on its head by blending traditional Afro/Cuban and South American styles with funk, house and DrumNBass. Their infectious drumming gets everyone up and dancing at any event and their showstopping themed outfits mean they turn heads wherever they go. They will be at our 4K midway turning point, always a crucial marker for our amazing runners!
Zuzana of Z-Energy has been leading our 8K runners in a hi energy warm up on the Undercliff path for a number of years. Zuzana’s energy is infectious, and it’s impossible to stand still when her music starts pumping! Warming up among hundreds of other women is guaranteed to put a smile on your face, to carry with you as you cross the start line.
